It’s my sincere hope that tapping into the Island’s strange power doesn’t become this year’s Pointing Guns at One Another. One or two jumps can be intriguing, but when Locke is there cowering from an angry Ethan and suddenly, whoosh, white flash — come on, now.

I am, however, glad to see that Hurley — troubled, internalizing anti-hero Hurley — could wind up foiling Ben’s plans to get the gang back together. He goes with his gut, and remains true to himself despite the consequences. I love that.
