Here’s a thought: let’s introduce Chirac’s poodle into the gene pool at Wags & Wiggles in Snohomish County. That way, nobody has to go through the exercise of having to denounce the mad science that goes into making designer dogs, and the dogs could express themselves in their uniquely clear-headed way.
Over the weekend I’ve been struggling with the difference between a puppy mill and the Kalua Pig I enjoyed at the Kauai Family Restaurant in Georgetown. How much suffering will I put up with? I wish it were all or nothing, but it’s not. I’m bound in a food chain. And feeling bad about it is the price you pay for inviting extremists to the party. Not that any of that matters as me and the Chaunce are walking down the street, augmenting one another’s confidence, the snow blowing up our skirts.
